Sugar participated in the album Chopin Residue
Sugar participated in The project Chopin Residue, created under the artistic and musical direction of Mariusz Szypura, merges an experimental album, an immersive exhibition, and a one-of-a-kind live performance into a unified artistic statement.
Featuring contributions from Lee Ranaldo, Adrian Utley, David Pajo, Matthew Herbert, John Stanier, Jim O’Rourke, Fennesz, Masayoshi Fujita, Zoh Amba, Joey Waronker, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Gail Ann Dorsey, Sean O’Hagan, John McEntire, Sugar Yoshinaga, Benoît Pioulard, Abul Mogard and others, the project reimagines Chopin’s music through avant-garde sound, contemporary composition, and visual interpretation.
The album will be released November 28, 2025 on Bandcamp. Sugar plays the guitar on Prelude Op. 28 No. 2 feat. John Stanier, Sugar Yoshinaga, Charlie Draper (Track #6).
